Another damn problem with my car.
on a cloudy, cool day car runs fine.
on a hot day when im driving, car tends to idle below 1000rpm and struggles to turn off.
as soon as im on a hill or even a slight inclination (freeway offramp for ex)
the car will turn off as soon as i step on the clutch or put it in neutral, car turns off.
this will only happen on an inclination and on a hot day.
and the voltometer will also idle wanting to turn off as the engine idles as well.
any ideas??
im going insane

So your having engine run on? The car is trying to run with the ignition off? If it is try some higher octane fuel than what your using. Also i would do a compression check just for shits.

no, while the car is on it idles and it wants to shut off. But it only occurs on hot days and when the engine warms up.
i was thinking about opening up the throttle a bit more.

could be the idle stepper motor, as the temp goes up it shutting the air off!

automatic or manual?

your car should idle at 750 rpms +/- 50 rpms.

What's your voltage at when it idles?

manual, and once the engine warms up, thats when it starts idling way below 1000rpm and the voltmeter will idle to 12

the idle stepper motor is just under the throttle body and has a connection block running from it, its held in place by 10mm bolts, remove it and give it a clean and reinstall.
