QUOTE (d-monic951 @ May 17 2009, 04:31 PM) what are some quick and cheep thing to do to a 94 3000gt NA to gain hp i know intake and xast but any other miner thing that u can do to up the hp
thanks DOHC or SOHC? if SOHC just give up. i tried and tried and tried and mine was still slow. at best they just look really really good. and if its SOHC just be glad its at least cool. if its DOHC at least you have a descent chance to make it quick. but if you already have intake exhaust, those are really the 2 cheapest way to get ANY HP out of it. after that you looking at spending mucho denero to get more HP. id just fix it up as nice as possible and be happy with what it puts out. sorry you didn't really get what you are looking for out of my answer, but it comes from experience........

sorry you didn't really get what you are looking for out of my answer, but it comes from experience........ The 3000GT wasn't available in SOHC until 1997. Headers will net you some noticable power. Is yours auto or manual? If it's auto, get a shift kit and high stall torque converter, that will make a noticable difference as well.

(OBX) nothing is CHEAP with these cars. If you want power, you pay for it. Otherwise, deal with your slow pig. shift kit is for an automatic... a short throw shifter is for a manual transmission. a shift kit will help the transmission shift more aggressively and faster... a short throw shifter...is just a shorter shifter-throw.

QUOTE (girly vr-4 @ May 17 2009, 07:47 PM) your trans won't hold TT power very well if you're going to be pushing it hard, but you can probably get everything you need for ~1k, give or take, depending on where you get it all. Exactly, A couple launches and that trans will take a dump on you. Expect to spend $1500 - $2000. Or buy mine for 5000, with a stock trans or 7000 with the built (IE Cryo gears, evo 5th gear, Quaife LSD)

QUOTE (d-monic951 @ May 19 2009, 12:08 AM) so what all do u have to do to get to the clutch thanks (IMG: style_emoticons/default/nahrung034.gif) you have to pull the transmission out. Bring it to any competent mechanics shop and they can do it for you.
