Love the black on black dude. but you used to thick of a grid. you need to finish with like 2000g and then get them professionally buffed. They will look sick.
Here's mine on my Altima

Good reason not to, If you get pulled over you can show the officer that your brake light is clearly visable. (if he pulled you over for that) Worked for me. Ive been tailed like 4 times for a couple minuts then they left. I used 4 coats of nightshade, and 3 duplicolor clear, buffed it and then wax/polished them. Came out shiney. 4 coats and i can still see a hint of red in the sunlight.

That looks cool on the altima ! +1 on that but my tailights is very visible, it just comes out too dark because of the flash really but if your here and take a good look on it, its not too dark it looks like only 2 coatings on it, driving around with it for 5 months, i was at a restaurant and theres this copp waiting for his order standing near the front coutner and i asked him what his opinion about my tail light he said that as long as we can see Red when you step on the break its cool, it jsut happens that the cop is a cooldude tat drives a EVO X and he also did the same thing, Evo X tarmac black on black. he does tracks at Willow, so im not even worried about the tail lights.

Sorry to revive a old thread but i was going to nite shade my tail lights but when i went to the cops in my area (winnipeg manitoba) the secretary called me a "stupid kid." The cop that answered her question said we were not allowed to do it at all?

Does anyone live in the area that got a different answer?

Can we use this product to "potentially" tint our windows? I'm not a huge fan of the prospect of film-tint bubbling or peeling in the future..

Regards.

Haha so a bit late dude. But the cracking is from over applying the spray. It dries tight and cracks. I actually used that to my advantage and did it to a couple things inside my car. Looks awsome TBH. But yeah its illegal. and the cops are the idiots. U can have solid black tail lights if you want, But the law is in ontario, Brake lights (and i say brakes cause rear DR's arent on during the day) must be visable from 150Meters. I did 4 coats and mine are okay from 300 meters. Had cops tail me and not problems. Been pulled over 3 times since too and no problems (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So... you are a honest and law abiding citizen, asking a simple question whether something would be legal. And they call you a stupid kid? No wonder the reason no one goes to the police anymore anymore. Same thing happened to me once about paying a parking ticket, I guess they rather not have the money?

Well its all agisim. Although alot of people on the forums tell us to ask our local police about our laws, most of them are older and look more mature. I'm only a 22 year old asian kid.
Plus i think the secretary thought i couldn't hear her.
