The simple mods if you haven't already done so.

MBC, turbo back, exh. manifold (ported), K&N filter (but keep your stock intake tube), good BOV to hold boost, fuel pump, injectors.

*Make sure you don't have any boost leaks*

I honor your opinion ECLIPSED4UTOO but when a 230whp that costs only $30k beats cars were the average price is $115k, then I'd say that
230whp is fast for $30k.
:)

just as a comparison, the srt4 is 230whp for $20k. if the evo had 270-300whp, i think it would be awesome. i just couldnt see myself dropping $30k on a car with HP that rivals a neon.

but this being said, ive never riden in an Evo. i would probably change my mind if i rode in one

The SRT doesn't come stock with 230whp. That would mean it rivals the EVO/STi. The EVO comes with 271hp which means it would have about 220-240whp.
I know for certain that the SRT doesn't come with the 270 horsepower. It is published at 230ish, but with hp loss due to friction you're lookin around 190ish whp.
This is all from personal experience because I have ridden in all of these cars. I have driven them all to the max and rallied them till the wheels feel off of these cars.

I personally like what DODGE has done with their new cars coming out. It is finally giving competition to the world of racing.

no, they actually have 230whp. the 2003 srt4 was rated at 220. dodge underrated the srt4 in 2003. the 2004 are now rated at 230 but that is the whp not the crank hp. i have a friend that has one.

i will go to the srt4forum and look for some dyno sheets

ok i found a couple of dyno sheets of completely stock srt4s. after searching their website, the general idea is that a stock srt4 will dyno 215-240whp(depending on altitude and temperature) and about 240-260ft/lbs torque.

That is one ugly power/torque curve. Byno's don't lie so I rest my case. :)
I am just going from going to dyno days and seeing 6 SRT's pulling the most @ 196whp that was completly stock.

Ya man, there are more mods for the DSM than you can possibily fathom a thought.
I've never seen 4th gear pulls on a dyno. I've always seen 3rd.

the best dyno pulls are done in the gear that has its ratio closest to 1. i think the srt4s 4th gear is like a 1.08 gear ratio

omg whats up with all the srt talk... first of all its only 230 hp and NO thats not "to the ground" the srt-4s 230 the gst 210.... 20hp wont make that much difference.. its all about the driver..... fyi.. i took an evo with my gst on the high way... kept up 2 cars down with a modified nissan 300zx twin turbo (300+hp) left a g35 and evened out with a wrx.. it really boils down to the driving an easy mess up of a shift and your a$$ is grass. as far as a srt-4.... they dont even make me sweet... and if any one has a srt-4 and want to race my gst.... with only my intake and bov mods bring it on cus id like to see u beat me lol.... i raced a srt-4 b4 with my NA modded only left me by 1 cars distance...

you are mistaken. the srt4 DOES put 230 "to the ground". i have posted dynos of STOCK srt4s that put down 230whp. they were underrated by dodge on purpose.
