O.k. so I bought a 91 paj 3.0l gas job. So far it seems allright but shy on power. Went on a mopar forum, found out a few things and after a wasted afternoon at the local salvage yards, I was left a little discouraged. Sooo... my q,s are what can I do for more ponies? my paj already has a cat back exhaust(my cat light is on inthe dash, does this mean its toast?)trying to figure out how to put in a CAI but am confused because the airflow sensor thingy is out by the air box. AND... anybody ever turbo one of these?

I do tons of Mitsubishi tuning and there are ways to get power frum them. BUt why would yu go to a Mopar site? Mopar isnt Mitsubishi. Ralliart is Mitsubishi. A SOCH 24v head conversion is one way to get more power. Everyone is turbo this and turbo that. As if thats the onlee way to get power. Yu can up the compression , thats an easy power getter, since if yu were to do a head conversion , id up the compression using MLS head gaskets.

if yu wanna turbo it yu will need to drop teh compression to about 7.8:1 , either using a MLS to do so or changing the pistons to drop the compression. Yull need a turbo , manifolds , piping , etc. It would be easier to supercharge it. Yu wont need to chgange the compression, yu wont need new exhaust manifolds and less complicated tubing. Yu can also run a charge air cooler onm the supercharger also for extra power.

I have done some research on this and I see that the 6G72 engine blocks are the same...Is there any work that needs to be done to convert to the DOHC heads. I know that I would need timing belt, ecu, and of course the heads. Anything else I might need to make this conversion? After I perform all my Troubleshooting on this Pajero I might need to replace the heads, so I thought I would research this option. The parts are available and relatively cheap(set of rebuilt DOHC for US $500).

Thanks
Dan
