Does anybody know where the diagnostic port is located at, if the obd2 protocol is fine and, had anybody had experience with these tools? Thanks in advance

On my (2001) Carisma, it is on the side of the centre console in the passenger side footwell. It is beside the heater port and has a rectangular cover, which blends in with the plastic panelling making it hard to see. The plastic cover has to be pried out (gently!).

I purchased the EvoScan cable + software from New Zealand but it will not 'go into' my DI-D of 2002 vintage. They say it should do so on their site. I do not think the cheap device that you are going to purchase will be of any use. Try to get the lend of one and see. These cars are a bit of a closed shop. The DI-D engine is a Renault engine BTW. JC
