Hi All,

New user to this forum.

When I select AUX input, I get "Hissing" sound from the speakers; even before I connect my iPod to it. Although, I can connect my iPod and listen to music but with "Hissing" sound in the background. Does anybody else experience this problem? Anybody know how can I get it fixed?

Thanks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

When you have a cord hooked into the aux jack but no source (ipod, mp3 player) hooked up you will hear a hissing noise.
When you have the ipod hooked up, but not turned on (asleep) you might get hissing. I get it with my iphone when it's in locked mode and no music is playing, but once I unlock it the hiss goes away.
If you get hiss while playing music I would first suspect your cord. Maybe try another (or new) cord.

The hissing sound is feedback, with most AUX sources it will hiss if no source is powered on and selected. Try turning on your MP3 player and hooking it up before you turn your car on. If you have hissing even while it is playing back music, make sure your connection is tight, it will ground through the RCA's if you are using them. Also, try another cable and MP3 player. If even after all of this, you still get hissing i would go in for warranty work. They could have a bad ground in the radio.

when i use my mp3 player, i was getting the same thing. like one side had very loud hissing, i happened to have a heavier cable, other one was cheap crap, not sure where or why i got it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) but on the better newer cable. it was 100% fine.
even with the player off.

I just purchased an 09 lancer gts with navi, and I have a great quality RCA to 3.5mm headphone jack cable and i receive zero hissing or feedback. So make sure you have a quality cable and that the RCAs are pushed in all the way
