The tickover is lower than it should be on both fuels, hot and cold on my Outlander causing stalling sometimes when pulling off uphill. At the LPG service the Gastech guy said the Lamba after the cat was showing problems suggesting the valves need adjusting .
Does anyone know if the "factory"LPG Outlander suffers valve recession, mine is a BRC conversion done by Gastech 2 years and 30k ago and has been great untill this low tickover started a month ago. It runs fine apart from that.
Don't know if to get Gastech, Mitsubish to do the tappets or if to have a go myself as I have adjusted a Cortina and Renault tappets.

Sounds like you have a dirty butterfly. Check-it out first for a black tar substance all around. I just use an alchool base spray. Trottle body points downward slightly so all the stuff comes right out with the dirt. Did wonders for mine.

Once I managed to get the timing belt cover off (4 different size bolts and removal of the top engine mount) the low tickover was due to hardly having any valve clearances, 2 of them had closed up completely. Took me ages to do but well worth it. I shall fit a flashlube kit now to protect the valve seats.
What is more worrying though is I payed my local Mitsubishi dealers a hours labour to check the car over a week before and they declared the valve clearances to be OK obviously without looking.
Special thanks to my LPG installer who said it would be the tappets straight away. He is always right. The car now performs equally on LPG and the engine light is out.
