Satelite Radio, Interference and Whining Engine Sound

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 27-March 08 Member No.: 55,075 Status: Location: Canada Drives: 2008 Lancer GTS	I recently purchased a Sirius satelite radio and got it installed professionally. After the install there is a whining sound from the engine and there is so much interference. Everytime I rev the engine the noise gets picked up by he radio. Has anyone has this problem also the unit is the starmate 4 if that helps.

Normally the engine whine can come from a bad ground, or your wires are too close to a power wire.

I'm going to radio shack tomorrow to try a noise isolator.
