Hello all,

I just purchased my first new car which is an 09 lancer gts 5 speed. I previously had a 94 camaro z28 which ran high 12's, 05 Chevy equinox which I sold these cars and purchased the lancer. I am 27 and live in eastern pa, is anyone close by?

if your implyin that you expect your lancer to run high 12's please know that a total engine/car overhaul would be needed to generate those results....but if you got the car for its unique styling, its ability to take hard corners and its unending potential as a tuner car then your on the right track.... ENJOY!!

Welcome. Glad to see you got a 5 speed. Good choice. Look thru the forum and you'll find lots of things you can do to this car. Enjoy.

Sorry for any confusion, I do not expect to run high 12's with the lancer. I did with my old camaro. I do not plan on doing any extensive mods to the lancer other than a cai, maybe tuning. I got it because I really like the way the car looks, handles plus its good on gas. I would be happy to run mid to high 15's with some light mods.

I made sure I got the 5spd, not really into the cvt. I actually got the last 5spd gts model on the lot. How do you like your RRM timing control box?

I like the timing control box. Gives an extra kick in the higher rpm range (and a bit off the line). I have yet to get back to the dyno to see what gains I'm getting, but all in all I like it so far, no probs with it at all.
