When I bought my car new I got the Sirius for free like most of you for 6 months. After that ran out they sent me a deal in the mail:

3 months for $12.95....sure why not....that's pretty cheap!

3 months ran out & they gave me another deal like above.....

That ran out & I didn't cancel or anything & they were charging me $12.95 a month.

The other day I called up & told them I wanted to cancel & they promised a great deal.....I laughed......guess I laughed too soon.

I got them to do 5 months for $19.95....some how I still had a credit on my account & I ended up getting it for $15.48.

Not saying that everyone that calls will get the $19.95 deal....but ask them & keep asking if they can do better. That was the best I could get out of them. It's a luxury that alot of people are not opting to have anymore.......so Sirius & XM are also feeling the pinch.....so do what you can to weasle any kind of better deal out of them that you can.

Happy motoring & keep it rockin!

Been really happy with Sirius. My stereo plays music from my iPhone (bluetooth or usb), Motorola Razer (bluetooth or usb), unpowered usb 2.5 HDD's (i have a 60GB laying around), flash drives etc and I find I listen to the sirius more than anything.

However having said that Sirius and XM and definitely hurting and they will bend pretty far on the subscription packages to keep you as a customer.

As for the XM/Sirius merger it kind of happened but if you have an XM reciever it won't work with sirius.

Mitsubishi's website says you get the 6 months free with the sun and sound package, but doesn't say it still comes with the navigation pkg, but I think it does, (can't confirm that though). If you do have it, and if I remember correctly when I did mine, you just call sirius and give them a code off the unit and they activate it.

I just got a letter from Sirrus saying that it was activated already...which is weird since I wasn't planning on activating it. When I got my Outlander I got calls for the 6 months begging me to start the service...the offeres got better and better, but I didn't aand still don't think it's worth even $10 a month or even $10 a year...so it was never active...

So I'm driving in to work this morning and figure I've got it, might as well listen, tune to Howard 100 and hear an old show...yawn...driving down 280 I go under an overpass and the sound cuts out and the screen is flashing "searching for signal" I switch to music server and back to sirrus and can hear Howard but still flashing signal message. It' is very overcast with clouds and thick fog...gotta love Daily City...So now I am even more convinced it's not worth it...
