Anyone have the 2009 sportback?

Did you notice very loud noise when going over 60mph and when the back window are open (only back window).

It seems like air is going through the back and using the place back there to make huge noise.

I have a sedan but used to experience the same issue in my Suzuki Sidekick I had years ago. I think basically the wind gets trapped in the back window and I'd noticed if you had tissue or paper in the back even formed a mini cyclone sometimes with the air rushing in and spinning around in the back before escaping again. It's why I leave the windows shut whenever i'm on the highway. I'm pretty sure it'd be just as loud in the Lancer sedan, I just don't bother putting the windows down.

Great looking car.. from the C-Pillar forwards (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) .. lol, kidding aside, the only noise I have is when I have the rear windows down, it rattles the sunroof cover and makes like a helicoperesque noise.. Nothing else..

Regards.

I like it a lot. Sportback give more room than my previous car. And the look is awsome. Performances are acceptable. My next car will have more than 220 HP for sure. (I went from 130hp to 168 hp.... still not enough)

The only complain that I have is regarding the quality of the exterior mats. The metal is very cheap (did you notice how a little pressure on the roof makes it bend) and the paint chip very easily. I got a rock on the roof and got a big chip plus a dent. And I have hundreds of chips evrywhere on the car.

Fortunately some dealer will repair the back doors and front of the back wheels and install some 3M for free!

For a comparison, I had a Mazda Protege 2001 (ancestor of the Mazda3) since 2001 and put 180000KM on it and I don't think I had as much chips on it as I have now with the lancer after 10000KM.
