Ok, I bought my 02 Lancer LS not to long ago, and have never driven it at night, until the other night (usually always drive my durango). And I noticed that there are no Radio lights, so I cant see the buttons, or the backlight of the display. I can see the display if I turn on the dome light. Also my heater/ac knobs and controls dont light up. And the PRND12 does not light up next to the gear shift (not sure if this is suppose to in this car, because it doesnt in my Stratus R/T). Should all of these be lit up? And if so where can I get the bulbs so I can replace them. Everything in that section works, just no lights. Im not able to find anything at the local parts store. Thanks
Brian

No One can say yes the shifter concol is supposed to be lit up, or vise versa, or the a/c and radio controls are supposed to be lit up, or not supposed to be lit up?

This forum isn't very active. Sad but true. But, as far as I remember all of those should be lit up. I know your a/c controls and such should be, and the PRND21 should be. But, for the stock radio I don't remember because it has been a while since I had the stock radio in my car, but I am almost positive the display on the radio should light up. Maybe a fuse?

I'll comment.

From what I remember from my '03 OZ Lancer (A sexy beast I might add) The bulb intensity potentiometer wheel was behind(ish) the turn signal switch on that panel. See if it's turned all the way down. Turn on the headlights, and play with the wheel. If it doesn't work and you've checked all the fuses and stuff, check to make sure that thing is even plugged in. Just pop it out, comes out easy like, and see if the connector is hooked up to the back. If not, then no, the lights won't work at all.

Hope this helps!

I didn't even think about that, that's a good idea. Like he said, it's just a little wheel that you can spin up and down. Up is brighter, and down is dimmer, I think. Not positive though.

Well I pulled the console out, and found the bulb for the lighter, the ashtray and the Shift column were all blown. I havent pulled the covered area of the heat and A/C knobs to see, but my guess is they are blown also. I circuit tested where I pulled the blown bulbs out, and it tested fine. I even played with the dimming and brightner wheel and the bulb on the tester got brighter and dimmer, so all is good there. I've just never seen them all go out like that before, unless it was one by one, and the person who had it before me never replaced them.

The dash lighting and heater knob lighting in these cars is horrible to begin with but your stock radio should light up not sure bout the prnd12 console they do have wiring problems thou check for continuity on all wires from that fuse block its a pain or you can just deal with it like most people i know
