I have a 93 RVR Z which has a small light behind the glove box . This seems to flash constantly ( except today ! ) and at a regular interval .I took it into the garage today and they connected the diagnostic computer and as above the light didn't flash and the computer says there is no problem at all . Any body got any brilliant ideas ? Thanks , Malcolm NZ

The only thing I can think of is some kind of indicator to tell you that the pollen filter is clogged. Never heard about having a warning light on this but would be a good idea and its the only thing behind the glove box which requires servicing. Hope that this solves the mystery and remember to report back on your findings for others to view.

Most modern vhicles have a pollen air filter which filters the air coming in from outside. They get plugged up with debris and your vents don't work properly. Just thinking that perhaps you have some kind of warning light that indicates when it is blocked.

I must say on my 95 RVR I had a bad smell when using AC from vents. Tried to find the pollen filter recently and I don't think it has one. Should be a cartridge type panel filter and you have to remove the glove box to access. Never did get to the root of the smell and it just went away.

the glove box light? the glove door latch switch is loose. it will cause the light to flicker. Is the light on any panel?or under behind the glove box? It can be the door ajar lamp flashing. A pic would really help

Thanks fornyour replies guys. It is definetly not the glove box . This is a constantly flashing light BEHIND the glove box not in it or above it . So at this stage I will go for a pollen filter.

Well its hard to say , yu do not give a good description of where the light is , yu say "behind the glovebox" well if its behind there yu really cant view it. Is it upper on the instruments cluster, above the glove box , more toward the wiode screen upper rearward, im not sure.
