the OEM amp is located in a sealed box under the drivers seat. The OEM sub is located on the left side of the trunk.

in all honesty, if you don't have the OEM RF system, it probably would be worth while for you to go out and find an AF system and have it done professionally. It may cost abit more, but i'm sure you will hear and feel the difference. not sure how much the OEM setup would be tho since mine came with the RF system.

Regards.

It would be better to go aftermarket, I used to work in car audio a bit ago. In my opinion, even a low end after market system sounds better than an advanced factory system. I had a 10 inch Infinity Kappa Perfect sub in my van with 6 Infinity Reference Coaxial speakers, and an after market radio. They sounded much better than my new Lancers Rockford Fosgate system and cost much less. I shop online for my stuff, the local stores are so expensive. Sonic Electronix has always given me great service if u want to check em out. Just be careful with what brands your looking at, stay away from Boss, Power Acoustik, and Audiobahn for all of our sakes! Just my two cents!

I would have to agree, go after market, if you shop around, you can still get some good deals, even off line. I got the package with my lancer, and it works for me right now, im sure down the road i will upgrade it. One peice of advise though, is dont just get anyone to do the install, a clean install makes it so much better
