hi i have 98 chariot that miss fire at 1500 rpm when its in 4 gear can eney one help ? stearing wheel vibration when traveling at 40 mph and at 60 mph but u can drive though and the missfire seems to go. I have had the wheels balanced and new tyres fitted and the wheels are true. :(

Dear Ben,
From what u've described, I think it was similar to the problem I had with mine before. Mine had a serious vibration (felt thru the steering wheel as well as from the seats) in 4th gear at exactly 1700-1900rpm. It went away outside of this range. I had (with great difficulty) the gearbox replaced by my distributor since it was still under warranty.
Then I had the same problem as Mr. Rambooka had with his. So, it was most likely the same story... faulty gear box and/or speed sensor...

Ben,
I have similiar problem. Go and change ATF. make sure you buy original from Mits Dia Queen ATF SPIII and original ATF filter.

Tks. How many litres do we need? How much did it cost you? Did you flush the tranny? Which mechanic do you go to? Sorry for all the questions, new owner here

Mits Dia Queen ATF SP III, 6 bottles = 6 liters, managed to get RM23/liter

Recommended every 40,000km.
