I really need to know which exhaust to get that wont sound like a fart can or a piece of sh*t.. to be honest. A place called axiom where i get most of my stuff said i should go with the ti-c, but i want to know the specs on it and how it really does sound in person. and what really is the diff between the ti-c and the spectrum. both are axel back and the spectrum is cheaper... so if anyone could help me and give an opionion on which and what to get that would be awesome!!! My opinion:

The spectrum elite is much nicer. Looks better and sounds better. The video on greddy's website sounds nice and videos I've seen on youtube sound nice too.

The TI-c looks like the classic civic fart can. Maybe it's not that bad, but I like the spectrum's looks and sound better.

I think the only difference is the design. The spectrum is a muffler, pipe, tip design and the TI-c is a pipe, coffee can muffler design.

I have to agree on this one.

I am debating with myself right now over the Spectrum Elite and a Magnaflow catback. The SE from Greddy sounds awesome in all the clips I have heard and is much quieter than the TI-C, from what I read. Much quieter.....

Good luck with it!

thanks for you guys' input.. i like the SE a bit more than the ti-c for the reason that YES it does look like a civic fart can... and i wanted to go magnaflow cat back, but i heard it only gained like 4,5 hp... which is a bit dissapointing for catback. if there is any more info you guys could give me about any exhaust system or any ideas let me know! thanks again yall

Well, if you don't want the fart can sound, I would say to stick with the well-known names in exhaust.

Magnaflow, GReddy, HKS and Tanabe always seem to come up and people are always impressed with them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Just do some searching. 4-5hp is pretty good in an engine only putting out 150-167hp anyway. That is a pretty good gain, honestly.

Besides, who gets an exhaust on a car just for ponies? I don't care much about the ponies. I just want it to sound like a bada$$ sports car when I am done. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gunsmilie.gif)

Good luck with it!

A full catback might give you 2 or 3 more hp than the 2-5hp you are going to get from an axleback. It really comes down to your preference. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Good luck and let us know how things turn out!

^^ It looks like the injen cat-back is essentially a header back. It comes with a high flow catalytic converter to replace the stock one. All SS, has a resonator, but also has the coffee can muffler design. Other than that, idk, anything about it. You'd also have to find out what the emissions laws in your state are and make sure the high-flow cat is legal. I don't' know of anyone that bought it, or what kinds of gains it gives you. Idk, if an exhaust is worth $900 for this car. You could spend your money on other things that will give you more gains.

I was talking to a buddy of mine who helped build a Nissan 350z that is insane... anyway, after talking to him about my car and exhausts he thought that i should just get a custom exhaust built... he said its a lot cheaper and will probably perform better than any exhaust out... dont know if that helps you at all but just giving some input since i was also thinking about buying a greddy... if anyone wants to see that car he built message me this guy knows his stuff

Custom exhausts usually sound like shit, usually don't perform any where near as good as TOP brand parts as they have not been tested.

When you purchase a Greddy or HKS product you are getting proven tested products. When you purchase some shit brand or your local grease monkey exhaust set up you are getting normal steel with shitty welds. You get crush bends where ever it is required instead of Mandrel bending with flow and testing to back it up the flow WILL be restricted.

When you buy real product you get Stainless steel, Mandrel bends, a warranty, and proven gains as long as you don't buy shit.

Maybe its because my cars are worth over 40,000 each but I would never buy junk for my car.

What is done to the Z?

I think all Nissan 350Zs are insane.....

Wonderfully built, beautiful cars...And they don't need any exhaust work from the factory.....

Of course, a NISMO exhaust sounds like Heaven on a 350..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
