I don't live near a dealer but need to replace the rear wipers. Anybody have success with store bought wipers or is it just a "special" mitsubishi part. I did replace the oem wiper with ones from walmart by sliding it in through the wiper but it doesn't seem to wipe smoothly and leaves most of its path unclean and is noticeable when it gets dusty.

I live near a dealer and refuse to pay the price they ask for the rear wiper anymore (and I need to get one soon). I had researched online and there is a company that does make the replacement for the wiper at a great price. However, it was difficult to find a retailer and since school had started I had given up the search; but, your question reminded me of that search and I will resume it this week and let you know what I find.

Okay here is the deal with the rear wiper blade so for I have only found anco aeroadvantage part number 91-14. I am going to order it but based on the picture I am going to have to swap the blade to the mitsubishi plastic arm thing $5.00 bucks online.... alot better than $35.00 at the dealer.

Found good results using a 15" Bosch blade. Had to trim it to fit but I just slid the the wiper in first and then the metal piece inside the wiper next to make it sturdy. Works like a charm or at least better than the previous one I put in.

Trico Exact Fit 14-A is like the dealer part but a much better and longer lasting blade. I went to the Trico website http://www.tricoproducts.com/Trico2/replac.../wheresold.aspx to find a local store. I hated the dealer part, they never lasted for me, especially in the winter, and had poor contact with the glass. I haven't had a single problem with the Trico blade.

Was at the auto parts store buying oil and filter for the truck and figured I would ask about the rear wiper. They had the Trico direct replacement looks exactly like the dealer version for $7.00.

Google 'Trico Exact Fit Rear' they're online at several places. Make sure you enter your make/model/year because there's a whole line of blades for the special rear arms...get the right one.

Are you talking a refill (just the rubber edge) or the whole wiper blade (that snaps onto the arm)? If the entire blade, do you know the brand and part number? I was under the impression that Trico was the only aftermarket blade for this new rear wiper arm.

The Trico has been on my back window for 6 months. Got it at Advanced Auto Parts.

OK so I purchased the Trico Exact Fit size 14A as suggested. IT'S NOT FITTING! Are you guys that got it to work replacing just the rubber piece, the whole thing, what?? I tried putting it in in pretty much every way I can think of, and I don't see how it can possibly be installed. Maybe Trico has changed the design of it recently or something...

I've spent way too much time dealing with this issue and thinking about having it replaced at the dealer. Any advice would be appreciated! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It shouldn't be too hard. Just use the blade (rubber part). Install the blade in first then insert the metal stick afterwards to keep the blade sturdy and level.
