Okay, im painting my car a two-toned black on top and white on the bottom. Im starting with just the hatch. What i need to know is do i need to sand it down first, if so how far and with kind of sandpaper? Thanks.

Well first off the car just has to be roughed up so use a DA sander and use 320 grit until it starts cutting into the basecoat but it doesnt have to go to bare metal. Im in auto refinishing so PM me if you want some more advice id be more than happy to help out
