I thought id post up a quick review of my new tires after having driven them for a couple thousand miles.

I did my research and found of all the tires available, most of them were extreme/ultra high performance summer only type tires. Very few higher mileage rated, all season tires out there in the 18" size.

I decided to go with the Falkens because I was able to get the best deal on a set of 4 installed. Plus they seemed to have really good reviews and they were rated for 40,000 Miles. (I only got 22K out of the stock Dumbflops) I got them installed for $600 out the door with 6 months no interest financing.

After having them for over 3K miles I can honestly say they are a vast improvement over the dunlops. Road noise is quieter and I havent noticed any loss in handling characteristics. They have done extremely well in the wet also. The other day I drove down a winding country road in the rain as fast as my wife would tolerate and I never once got them to break traction.

The only downside I have noticed is an ever so slightly sitffer ride. Evidently these tires were rated for heavier loads than the Lancer and have a stiffer sidewall construction. Its not a big difference though and its a worthy sacrifice for less road noise.

Have not driven them in the snow yet but I am planning on getting a set of winter tires on steel rims anyways.

I guess as time goes by we'll see how long they last. I plan on doing regular roatations and routine re-balancing as well to help increase their life. Hope this review was helpful to anyone looking for a nice set of all season tires!

I also picked up a set of 912 but for my Outlander. Have proven to be pretty good tires so far although i have not put as much distance on them as you have.

UPDATE:

After having driven extensively on rain soaked roads the tires are holding up very well. I can get them to slip on hard cornering but its always predictable and easily controllable. Im getting very good feedback from them and can tell when Im at the edge of my traction limits.

The regular rotations and re-balancing is a good idea, it will help a lot. Also, as I am sure everybody knows but I will say it anyways, check tire pressure every few days or at least every week. Thats even more important than the rotations and balancing I would think... My wife never checked when I told her and her tires were worn bad within 15,000kms... They were rated for 80,000. So tire pressure is a huge thing!

I have had nothing but good luck with Falken tires. I had them on my 3000GT, they were good. And that car had to hide in the garage once the snow started flying so they never saw snow either.

Good luck with yours!!

You got a good price at least, and 0% financing on tires....?? WOW, what a good idea, never heard of that before. Where was that?
