Hello everyone,

I searched on the internet to find a Mitsubishi forum because I feel it's best to find out first hand from owners of what they think of the cars. Reviews are nice and all but the expectations are high and wide for cars. As a casual driver among others, we know whether a car is worth the money or just falls flat.

So, I'm currently in the process of purchasing a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander LS 4WD model. Personally, of all the SUV's I find the Outlander to be one of the nicest looking which attracted me to it. Not only that but the warranty is excellent. I've never owned a Mitsubishi car before (Have had a Honda and Toyota) so this would be my first.

Basically, I want to know if the cars worth the price tag (Comes out to be around $33,000 canadian). I have driven it in a test run and I agree with the reviews that it's a little loud when you begin to speed up. However, other than that I found no faults in this car. It's stylish, has some good power and is roomy/comfortable.

What would you, as owners, say about it? Highly recommend? Well worth the buy? Will be happy/unhappy with this car? (Also, I love the Lancer model. Was really hoping to get that car but already own a Matrix and we need something alittle bigger. Shame, maybe in a few years!)

Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i have had my 07 outlander es since dec of 07

i like it very much
i have only had one problem with the radio which was replaced under warranty...
i also like the overall styling....
and i would have gotten mine in the desert sand mettalic but they dint have any in stock so i ended with the metallic silver/blue
also tho get the v6 if u can i have driven the 4 cylinder with the cvt and it feels under powered too me...

the v6 has lots of power and we get 25 mpg average with it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Ahh thats good to hear! Some of the reviews I've read have noted that the Outlander is not the best SUV and that it has it's flaws. However, the majority of the other small SUV's are ugly and similiar. I tend to think that the warranty and look of the car is enough but at the same time I don't want to go out and buy it and encounter problem after problem.

i like the styling and if they ever bring some of the stuff that is available in other countries too the US it could look even better...

did i mention the flappy tailgate? also is very handy when loading the back..
lots of storage, plenty of cup holders...

220 hp ,six speed tranny, mivec all that for 20k (what i paid)

only one thing is that the sunvisors dont extend any..

I have a 2009 LS and do not regret buying it at all. It's just a little more expensive on gas than the 4 cylinder and has lots of power more so it's all good. The only thing I don't like about it is that I wish the engine had a better sound, it feels to me like a very powerfull 4 cylinder. I used to have a Nissan Pathfinder and when you stepped on the gas it would feel powerfull. Other than that all is nice with the SUV, just make sure you do some research about the dealership you're gonna buy it from cuz some of the Mitsubishi dealer suck.

good luck with you purchase
