i am looking into purchasing a 3000gt. i found a good deal on one but i only want to buy it if it is an easy RHD conversion and JDM engine swap.

i have also found a JDM front clip of a 3000gt that i would purchase to do the conversion.

so is it like the old subaru imprezas where the RHD holes are already there?

You can do it, but you will fail all of your safety inspections, you will cost a shit ton more to insure, and everyone will think you are gay.

If you want RHD, get a GTO

I saw a guy in an old RHD jag the other day - definetly gay. He had one of those snap-caps on. ... not that there's anything wrong with that...

Yea, people have done that. All the parts are avaialble from the VR4.

Then you can drive it in the snow.

RHD conversion - been done by a few. get in touch with Jason over at pricematchedparts.com for the full rundown, as he's done it, but in his own words, it's a pain in the ass and definitely not worth it.
AWD conversion - been done by many...buy also not worth it. For the money and time you'll spend doing it, just buy a VR-4 to begin with. it's cheaper and you get turbos.
93-94+ conversion - been done by many. Fairly easy...just need to buy the parts and swap them out. (bumper, lights, buckets...theres writeups on the net if you search)

i suggest you get familiar with forums over at 3si.org and the resources at stealth316.com. All the info you could ever want about these cars is there.

Finishing up the 2 gen front end conversion, Ill sell you the headlight brackets needed to keep your first gen buckets for $35 for the set.

The AWD conversion was a pain in the ass and you WILL need a full awd doner car.

The RHD conversion fucking stupid.

The AWD conversion will also require you to know how to use a CAD machining program and make the nuts and bolts to properly mount the rear subframe. I WILL NOT sell you them as I want no liablitly when something breaks and you crash the car.

I don't know what problems you could have. I mount the subframe up with factory hardware and I've never had any issues.
