I left my door open on my car for three hours till a realized it. The car starts but I have a question when you close the door after the ignition is off do the dome lights dim compared to when the door is open? Like after you get out and close your door do the lights dim a little but r still on? and then of course when you lock with the beeper the lights dim off. But mine dim a lil when i close the door after the ignition is off and i get out. Can someone check this on theres to make sure my battery isnt on the fritz because of the stupidy on my part for leavin the door open to begin with thanks in advance

That's normal operation. When you shut the car off (or just open the door) the interior light comes on full brightness. When you close the door, at first the lights dim, then eventually they turn off by themselves or turn off when you use the fast key button to lock the door or use the keyless entry remote to lock the doors.

Battery will be fine. Twice my headlights came on all by themselves last winter. They were on for 2 hours once and almost 4 hours the second time. Car started and battery is fine. The interior light doesn't use that much power, you should be fine.

Do you have the Navi package? If so, you have the option of controlling when everything shuts off. IE you can tell the car to shut off automatically after an hour if you're just listening to music. It's a pain when I go to the drive-ins and have to turn the car back on, but it's a great feature in case you forget to turn stuff off.

I have the Navi package and my dome lights will automatically shut off after 30 mins if the door is left open. My headlights also wont remain turned on if i shut the car off. Not sure if the other non-navi lancers have this pre-programmed. I can change these settings

Non-navi is pre-programmed. Head lights turn off when you open the door, stereo (I assume interior lights, never tested) turn off in 30 minutes. No way to change it for us non-navi's. This is in a gts, not sure if all the models have this or not.
