Never noticed about cap it was that way when we got it from police impound !! thanks for looking , ok but heres the deal ,,,, we replaced everything , clutch/prrssre plate throwout/slave /master and we still have problems . i have my buddy with a tranny at the salvage yard so we will probably be changing it out as soon as we go and pullit . I have my tranny guy that can rebuild it i just have not asked him yet . Has anyone rebuilt the synchros in the tranny is it cost efficient or just bang a used unit in ? >>>>>>>>symptoms now>>> good pedal but no action only gear we can take of in is 3 rd if that now its grinding grinding grinding

QUOTE (racetearoffs.com @ Sep 21 2009, 01:17 PM) we are not getting as much pedal as we would like , we put a nut in front of the throw piston rod of the slave still no pedal ? Wondering if we put clutch disq in backwards ? We blew thru the clutch hose and it seemed fine no leaks and not collapsed . We are getting travel on slave but still no clutch ? I would recheck the clutch installation.

OK the clutch is different !! instead of a 200 mil its a 215 , i am guessing the all wheel drive clutch . The pressure plate is thicker and taller . The old pressure plate and set up was made in great britain . It looks like we have solved it waiting for new clutch to come in . I am taking pictures so will post when we get this straightened out thank you karl

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/gunsmilie.gif) ok reinstalled with new clutch disk and throwout bearing , used old pressure plate . No freakin go ! crap crap crap .. It does not work . We left the clutch all the way in overnight to see if it would bleed over night nothing . Ok we ordered a OEM clutch from LUKE and its number is a 050-22 so we will receive it tommorow and remove and install it again and see what going on . i have pictures of what we just did but what a waste we are back to square one . The throw on slave is awesome but no clutch . (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laughing.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laughing.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laughing.gif) << crazy laughing
