Cheers Enigma
Does that mean the CAT is cooked & i need a new one?
I have had the car a year now & the light has been on since i got it,
the car also has passed an M.O.T with flying colours.
I might get a DeCat pipe, will this turn off the light?

you can de-cat it no problem, the wire from the cat goes to a connector under the passenger seat what I have done is bridge the connector with short wire its been like that for 5 years no probs, if your car was manufactured before august 92 it does not need a cat for the MOT but if its after that you will have to fit a cat every year for the MOT emmissions test.
