I recently purchased a 2004 Diamante VRX and read online somewhere that the exterior temp should be displayed on the rearview mirror or something like that? Given that this car far exceeded all my expectations, I was a bit surprised to not find this feature (ext,. temp indicator) . . . which the car might have afterall. What a ride! My old Maxima SE honestly feels like a very sporty tractor! Too bad the Diamante was d/c in the US! Same for abroad?

I have an '02 VR-X, and the temp. display is in the center dash. Have you poked around with your climate control to see if it's in there?

The montero sport had it in the mirror.Every diamante I have been in has had it in the center display where the clock is or on the display at the air conditioning controls.

Haven't tried that yet - but need to do so. I don't have an owner's manual yet, so once I have that, I assume it will be a quick end to the mystery.

About the Montero Sport - was there something to activate or was it simply always there? Where in the mirror? Unfortauntely, this 04 VRX does not have it as part of the multifunction display . . .

The montero had a visible window in the mirror.I checked and yours is where your air conditioning control display is.

Not 100% on the 2004, but my 2003 model the outside temp display is on the climate control screen, with the button in the middle on the left selecting the outside temp. A bit scary when you see the temp below zero celsius though, as I did this morning.

Thanks for your reply - unfortunately, the 2004 VRX does not have a climate control screen, just a multi-function display with fuel info (average miles per gallon, miles driven etc etc), so I am beginning to wonder if this one just does not have external temp.
