Fuel injectors, Fuel pump. Start from the top. What makes a car run.

Battery ---> Spark Plugs

Oil--->Oxygen

fuel

and just to ask... what gear were u in when you were going up the big hill. I can only assume that you drive an automatic if you weren't in a lower gear going up a big hill (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Yea i drive an automatic and i was in second gear. It happens to me everytime i go up a big hill and after the hill the car starts reving high. When i go up the hill the car sounds like its going to die on me. idk whats going on, no check engine light but the car def has something wrong... Just to give u some background.. my transmission sensors failed which caused my car speedometer to not function. So i changed the sensor and for about a week the car was fine, and now i have this problem..... please help

Sounds like your engine is running fine, but your trans is kinda confused as to how it should put the power to the wheels. So you're experiencing "free revving" when you're in too low of a gear, and low RPM's due to "chugging" in too high of a gear.

Start with the basic cheap stuff just to get it off the list of possible causes. Get a trans service. (your probibly due for one anyhow) New fluid and a filter could change the way your car is shifting dramaticly. See if that helps at all and then get back to us.

I got a trans service about 3 months ago. And now i just changed the plugs, wires and valve cover gasket. Nothing worked car seems like its going to shut off while driving up a hill. what else can it be?
