hi every one here, i'm new member to the 1G Eclipse, i just bought a 91 Eclipse with a 2.0 turbo, 5sp, exedy racing clutch, aluminum flywheel, i think we call it a 4G63 DSM 6 bolt right ? not bad of a car, but i'm trying to squeeze a little more out of it, the engine was rebuild recently, basically stock form, stock bore, new rings, pistons, polish crank, 272 cams, 5 angle valve job, plus some more little things gaskets, timing belt, water pump, oil pump ect , was dynoed 250hp, 247tq with 14 psi with methanol, but i'm running on 10 psi now built by a friend of mine, (he's got a 89 Supra with a 2JZ motor built by himself at home with a t78 pushing 600hp) anyway i think the stock turbo is a t25 right ? but i want to get something bigger, direct bolt on, so what do you guys suggest, and what else do i need to upgrade with it ? not to go to crazy or to high tech, what fuel pump, injectors, MAFT, fuel control ? i'm going to get a new cold air induction, BOV, SS header, downpipe, and full exhaust and punch out the cat or testpipe, FMIC, thanx for all the help

QUOTE (Az3g @ Sep 22 2009, 08:15 AM) I screwed it up, but, its at the top of the 4g37 forums. lol This would be correct except that he states in his first post that he has a 2.0. This means he has the 4G63, not the 4G37. I am moving this topic to the apporpriate section.

With stock internals I would go with something like a EVO 16g. Plenty fast and the engine can handle it fine with a proper tune. You also didn't mention whether your car is AWD or FWD. If it's FWD there's not much point in making any more power than a 16g for the street cause you'll already have plenty of traction problems:) How's your buddy's supra actually run? I've never ran against a modded one of his body style but the last gen ones are notorious for making big numbers on the dyno and being slow at the strip.

I've never ran against a modded one of his body style but the last gen ones are notorious for making big numbers on the dyno and being slow at the strip. i think he run like low 11s, because his car is quite heavy, and it's 100% street legal, no weight reduction at all, but he can surely do a nice job in burn out,if our motor, AWD, pushing that much power, i think the early eclipse will run below 10s right ? yeah i forget to mention, my is a FWD, i know i don't have the best traction, but i'm trying to make a little more power specially on top end, my 2.0 doesn't have alot of power right out the whole, my friend at work with his fox body Stang, gt40 head, 4.10 gear,CAI, H pipe, flow master, always smoke my car on the get go, (we don't really race) but he's always show off his American muscle " there is no replacement for displacement", but my top end is better than his, so i said to him " boost is the replacement for displacement" from what i read, the 16g should be my best bet right, i'll upgrade the walpro 255 fuel pump very soon, what else do you suggest ???, i already ordered tubular header, 3" downpipe, test pipe, and catback, still thinking about getting the right turbo. my state doesn't require emission for car older than 96, so i can just bypass the cat, don't say that to loud, the cop won't like it
