Im changing the oil tomorrow in the 93 laser I picked up. It has 170k on the odometer. So should I go up to 10w40?

nevermind, already done, Ive always heard a higher mileage engine needs thicker oil due to extra space from wear around the bearings. Hope I made the right choice.

You are correct, sir. But don't go too thick or you will hear the dreaded DSM tick WAY more than you need to! lol

I have 190k on my motor and I run 10w-30 with no problems. Sometimes I even run 5w-30 or 5w-20 since i get it for free from my grandfather lol. I only run the 5w oil if I ma desperate tho, cause my motor eats that oil so fast it's unreal. lol
