So i have the typhoon cai system and i can change it over to a short ram for "harsh weather" and i plan to in a little bit. I'm curious as to if I have to or should unplug the negative battery cable like I had to do when I installed it originally? and should I unplug the mass air sensor aswell?

Ive never disconnected the battery for anything unless it was electrical. Nothing will happen if you leave it connected. Disconnecting the battery is just a safety precaution that companies would like you to follow for "their" own safety.
