Hi all gurus...
I've just bought a 95 Shogun GLs 2.8d and have no idea about its modus-operandi especially buttons/ lights inside car. Like when should i switch b/w H/M/S shock Absorber system, how to go about R/D, 4WD operation.
Can someone teach me or share any owner handbook/ manual plzzzzzzzzzzz!
Thanks ... sAm
Hi sAm
You may notice that there is a small, wired cylinder on top of each of your shock absorbers. That is the servo motor for the Hard/Medium/Soft adjustments. They tend to get soaked after a while and rusted out, so it wil be useless after 2-3 years. Replacement is expensive, so don't bother. Get yourself good after market shocks instead. That said, the H is for Off road, Medium is normal use, and Soft is for straight highway driving.
To add to Jim's reply:
2H (2WD) - When driving on dry normal roads and expressway economically.
4H (Full time 4WD) - Basic position of Super Select 4WD. When driving on normal roads, expressways and slippery roads.
4HLc (Cen. dif. lock lamp) - When driving on rough, sand and deep snow roads.
N (Neutral) - When the mechanical winch is used (Vehicle is immobilised)
4LLc (Low range cen. dif. lock 4WD) - When driving up or descending steep slopes or rough road, such as muddyroads, especially when increased drive power is required.
I believe your Pajero comes with an automatic wheel hub for engaging the 4WD, which means you can actually engage 4WD while driving and NOT exceeding 100kmh. Just reduce your speed and engage the short transfer lever next to the transmission stick.
