Is this really helpful? or is this really true that it can clean catalytic converter? I also used 3M fuel injector cleaner... it makes a difference compared to my previous car performance. I got mitsubishi galant 2004 48Kmiles.

sounds like snake oil too me...

a rotten egg odor is normal sometimes and the converter reaches 800-1000 dgrees and pretty much self cleans as it burns anyway...

and if your engine is running bad anyway..cleaning the converter isnt going to fix the engine problem..

the o2 sensors monitor your cat anyway.. so unless u have check engine lights i wouldnt waste my money...

and dont forget u have 8-80 warranty on a cat and if u dump some snake oil in there that ruins it and or the sensors..

mitsu 02 sensors are around 300 apiece and the cat can be upwards of a 1000 so i u want to spend 2000 for a 19.99 snake oil ....

SRSONE,

Thank you for good advise. I have already just used 3M Injector Cleaner and can feel the difference of my engine performance from before. The car runs smoother and engine loud noise during acceleration have lessen. I'm thinking to used catalytic converter cleaner hoping that it can do its job to clean my cat to eliminate any restriction, can make sounds during acceleration more solid (because during acceleration engine makes a humming sounds coming in front and bottom of engine). I'm worried because i might kill the usable lifespan of my cat. cleaner. If you have any advise or have encountered troubleshooting loud humming sounds during acceleration and how to eliminate them, that will be greatly appreciate.
