I'll start up the car and let it warm up after it gets warm I start driving it and it starts making some weird noises. When I pull up to a stop sign/light it starts to like putter. Then give it some gas its fine. Same with the noises give it a little gas and they go away... sometimes its ridiculously annoying and loud. Sometimes the noises will sound different from drive, reverse, to neutral...

This is all without ac being on.

If anyone else had this problem or any knows what this is would you please let me know. Thanks

start with the little things first. check your spark plugs, one could be bad or going bad. sounds like you may be having trouble getting fuel at low rpm too... run some fuel system cleaner before messing with the fuel pump of anything, but at least make sure the injectors are all plugged in from the wiring harness and seated properly. make sure your MAF is plugged in and functioning. how many miles are on your car and what oil are you using?

10/30w Castrol High Mileage... Car has 110,000 miles. It has different sounds for park, neutral, reverse and drive. I let it warm up for about 5 - 8 mins then start driving and when I come up to a stop it starts making noises. Its really loud while in drive and reverse so when im at a light ill throw it in neutral and it starts making a little popping sound and not sure what it is. Could it be misfiring? Drive makes a thumping sound way louder noise and sometimes a popping noise with it too. I'll drive it for about 10 - 20 mins and it usually helps the noise but only quiets it a little more its still there..

Have no clue whats wrong. We just changed the oil. Gonna run some fuel system cleaner and clean out old radiator fluid and fill it up with new stuff... Need to do that anyways.

Thanks for all the help.

with the info you just gave, It seems more like you have a bad lifter or valve train component. but since your over 100k, Id start using 10w40 oil. If will fill the spaces better in the system that have been worn and stretched over the life of the engine. It may just lube the parts making the noise enough to stop it. If the noise is just misfiring Id change the plugs and insure the wires are on correctly.
