What is error code 43? Throttle control valve or timing control valve?

L200 Diesel. It splutters around 20000 revs acceleration and top end speed gone walkabout, error code 43 on diagnostics. My garage contacted Mitsubishi spares for throttle control valve, but they don't know what it is and are offering the throttle body to replace.

Juss asking cause the 43 can vary for model, as in petrol and diesel. a 43 on diesel is a Throttle Control System. do yu have an auto or manual box? There is likely an issue with the throttle command , as in the TPS system on the throttle body to which the whole unit usually is replaced. When the TPS is sending random signals to the PCM , it will cause many issues. Especially on a Diesel model , to which the PCM has to use most of the TPS range signal and open teh waste gate and all other commands of the turbo.

Do yu have "throttle dead spots" or erratic idle or hard startup? This is a 43 code , leaning to on a diesel model which is throttle control system. Meaning that the the signal can be too high or low , or voltage signal too high , meaning an issue. Wut issues are yu having?

Exactly as you describe, eratic idle, hard start up throttle splutter at 20000 revs and not accelerating above 30000 revs. i appreciate your help, looks like new throttle control system. I will have to look for best price.

Thanks again

Need your help again. Do you know where the throttle control valve is situated on L200 pick-up. I have been told it is part ot the fuel pump and the pump needs to be replaced £1150 sterling. do not want to go ahead with this expense if it is un-necessary
