I get 6 kilo's/liter which I figure is about 15 mpg. Isn't that too low for a 1.6 ltr engine? I have a high top L300 1992.
I think the gas here is low octane but still . . .

Sounds quite low to me, Im getting about 10kms to the litre and my van is a 2.0 1985 L300, if the octane rating is low in your country try adding an additive the boosts the octane rating and see if it makes any difference.

Mine varies quite a bit one tank of petrol 91 octane will take me about 340 kms.

but since it uses LPG most of the time 60 ltrs of LPG takes me about 350 to 370 kms depending on the driving conditions.

your fuel consumption sounds to be just a bit to much but I have seen that sort of consumption in mine . Is it in need of a tune up?

also mine is a 1.6 ltr 4 spd manual.
