Hi all, so as some of you know I installed a kenwood dnx-9140 into my 08 lancer gts. since my gts came with sirius radio already put in im wondering if i can still use the factory sirius decoder for my HU. I contacted kenwood and they said i have to get 2 parts to get it to work with my HU (SC-C1 Sirius tuner and the model CA-SR20V adapter). Has anyone added sirius to theirs with an aftermarket HU?

Thanks

The two parts you listed are to equip Kenwood aftermarket radios with Sirius. You cannot take the Sirius from your stock HU and give it to your aftermarket HU, the connections unfortunately are not designed for it. Wishful thinking I know, you might be able to transfer your Sirius account to the Kenwood unit though.

Ya well at least i tried lol...i did buy both part and i was able to use the factory antenna so i wouldn't have to use the one provided by kenwood cause i didnt want two antennas on the roof. I was able to remove the clip for the factory sirius and it works great. It was a 5 min intall
