just a quick question is the 92 base dohc?

Yes. all 3000GT's were DOHC until 97, when they gave the base models a SOHC engine.

The stealth base models all had SOHC engines.

...well,thats prettymuch all the things we told you to look out for. Unless you specifically WANT a project car...pass on it. For the time and money your going to need to immidiately dump into it you can find a much nicer one with less miles.

i think those wheels will look ok, but honestly id save the money for something more crucial.

The 60K tune is best done all at once, because it involves the timing belt, water pump, and timing belt tensioner and idler pullys. I think the 120k also includes the oil pump.
I take it you will be doing the maintenence yourself?

When i bought my 60k kit i went with genuine mitsu parts, but lots of people go with aftermarket replacements to save a few bucks. To me though, the few bucks was worth a little peace of mind. In fact, i would have spend a bit more on a Kevlar timing belt if i could have afforded it. It's hard to put a price on peace of mind...

get OEM.

Call Cherry Hill Mitsubishi, in Cherry Hill, NJ. Tell them you're a 3si member, and you'll get 30% off. They'll ship it to you no problem.
