Purchased a 2009 Lancer ES Sport Manual. It has the "feature" that prevents it's owner from locking their keys within their car which is all fine and good... but... What about those that want to run out to their vehicle, and start it to warm it up while they finish getting ready for work? No way to lock the vehicle with the car running and keys outside?..

(no I cannot currently afford the remote start)

Is there a way to disable the lock out prevention feature?..

I also notice that if the key is not within the car and the car is running the vehicle can be driven off without the key!.. (weird).. So this is obviously not an option.. I have to find a way to lock the doors while my vehicle is warming up outside of my house while parked on the street..

Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide!

*I am new to the boards and I have attempted numerous searches for this, I appologize in advance if I missed the answer to this question somewhere..
