I assume yu are talkin about the frunt. No that is very bad to do. It will weaken the area. There were not really any camber adjustment , to very minimal on that model. the impact itself could have bent the strut slightly . At the lower end causing an effect in the camber. The bend is not always really noticable to see, but its there. There is a way to get around it tho , as i had , its a not that great image . drawn on bitmap but serves the purpose.
On the bottom bolt where the strut bolts to the spindle , basically yu unbolt the strut frum the spindle. On the lower bolt hole yu "open" slot it side ways to give more camber adjustment. This is the correct way to add camber adjustment on a MC Pherson strut setup.
