Hi, I was thinking about rebuilding my engine when I can save up for it and was wondering how hard / long it would take.

Also if I rebuild the engine I was wondering about putting a turbo on it... What all would need to be replaced? Would the tranny be able to hold it? Its a 5 speed manual.

Thanks for all your help.

how hard and long, depends on your experience and the tools you own or have acess to. Its easy if you know what you are doing. In order to make it handle your planned turbo kit, It would be the most logical time to build the engine while its sripped for a rebuild. do your pistons and valves mainly as they are the components in the combustion chamber (if you can only afford a few upgrades). once the head is removed you will most likely want to have it surfaced, and take this time to get a good head gasket since you will have to get a new one anyway cuz the old one is not reuseable. I think slowboyracing.com has them for yours... It should handle the turbo well.

Also don't forget ARP head studs.

EDIT: I am moving this to the appropriate section.
