HEY THERE GMAN!
MY NAME IS SIMON, I AM NEW IN HERE.
I HAVE A RACE SHOP HERE IN THAILAND(I'M HALF THAI) AND I DO OWN 3 DIFFERENT MODELS OF EVOS.....4-6-7. NOW MOST OF MY CUSTOMERS ARE YOUNG SPEEDSTERS WITH EVO'S HEART. MOST OF THESE PEOPLE CAN'T OFFORD TO BUY AN EVO CAR." LOOK BUT CAN'T TOUCH" SO THEY WOULD GO AND BUY THESE " HOUSE CARS" AND CONVERT THEM TO (AS CLOSE AS THEY CAN!!!!) AN EVO . EITHER BY FITTING IN EVO ENGINE AND OR JUST TRY TO PUT IN EVO BODY KITS! AND SO ON...!
IN YOUR CASE....YOU ARE LOOKING TO FIT IN AN 18 in. RIMS?!!!!.....YOUR CAR COMES WITH THE STANDARD FACTORY BREAKING SYSTEM, RIGHT? HUMMM...MY ONLY QUESTION TO YOU "HOW SAFE DO YOU FEEL IF YOU WERE TO BE GOING AT FULL SPEED AND HAVING TO STEP ON THE BREAKS"? NOT VERY SAFE MY FRIEND! YOU CAN DRESS IT ALL UP AND MAKE IT ALL SWEET BUT DON'T FOR GET ABOUT YOUR SAFTY AND THAT'S WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS TRY TO TEACH MANY OF THE CUSTOMERS AND TEAM MEMBERS HERE IN THAILAND. BECAUSE STOCK CARS AND THE RACE CAR(REAL EVOS) ARE MADE VERY DIFFERENTLY , IN BODY STRUCTURE-SAFTY POINTS , ETC.....STICK WITH THE 16S...UNLESS YOU ARE PLNNING ON SHOWING YOUR CAR AT "SEMA"...18s WILL TAKE AWAY THE BALANCE OF YOUR CAR...AT THE END OF THE DAY..IT IS YOUR CAR! YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY ALOT MORE THAN JUST FOR THE 18in RIMS!!!!

I put on 17" rims on my 03 OZ Rally and tires to match the same size as the factory tires radius. I think the speed differance at 80 mph was like 0.0165 mph. Not even a noticable differance unless yur the cop writting the ticket......

18s would look good but it'll make your car slower... i think 16 or 17inch rims would do just fine. just my opinion.

how about something like this:

work emotion - CRkai (work wheels)

nasty don't you think? ;)

just on the subject of turbos / superchargers..... i know the difference in how they work, but why do some opt for one over the other? what are the pro's and cons of each? like what are reasons you'd put a supercharger on instead a turbo? is there much cost/power difference?
cheers.
Sublime.

sublime,
i suppose cost would be more or less the same. to choose between the two would be, in my opinion, a matter of application. generally, superchargers would have a more linear power curve compared to a turbos

mitsu,
we have the same engine :) mine's on a sedan. i'd love to get a mirage (colt or cyborg) like yours but its a bit hard to come by where i'm from. good luck with the race tom! :D
