ok heres the deal... i have a 93 eclipse 2.0 N/A with a brand new muffler, a brand new flex joint following the downpipe and a stage 3 racing clutch with about 300 miles on it... i have a race soon with a Saturn SL1 (can't remember the year) it has a custom intake and its an automatic, o yea and it has a dual ehasut from advanced auto lol but anyway, who do u think will win? and how should i start off?

If you're a kick ass driver, I'd say you! But if we are talking all practicality.......the other driver.

Just make sure you don't miss any gears and get him off the line.
Taking off, I'd make sure you're in gear first :). Then stay at about 4500rpm and the clutch half way out. When the green light says go, dump it!

there is no reason you should lose unless you are an incredibly horrible racer

ok, i just got through blowing up a 1996 saturn sl2, ok, it was an auto , and i dont know about the sl1 but mine and a switch beside of the shifter that had i think it was sport and norm, put it on sport and it would shift way into redline and it would launch very good, put it in norm and you could hold your foot on the pettel and it would take forever to go anywhere, actully when i blew the motor , i was raceing a 1993 eclipse gs manual, it was at a dead start, he got me at pull out but after that i pulled ahead of him, i was almost a car length infront of him, and i pulled it in second at 80 miles an hour, and the motor died..

i think it will be a close race.. i hate to say it but i think the saturn would win.
