My brother wants to race my 1999 Eclipse Gs Spyder against his 1990 Mazda Miata. Neither car is supercharged, both are manual.

Miata= cat-back exhaust, home-made wierd ass-CAI
Eclipse= Muffler

we are also about the same ability shifting
Which will win?

:devil:

I would say the Eclipse, Unless his brother maintained and owned that car for the last 10+ years,Then its probably worn out like a french hooker :innocent:... The eclipse is newer, may weigh more, but overall the compressions are better and if he knows how to drive it. I say the Eclipse.. :57:

Oz :D

Its all about whos the better driver. I think the Miata has a better power to weight ratio so it will give you a good run thats for sure. But if you suck as a driver than you will get your ass whooped. lol

If you asked which car we liked better instead of who would win, I would have mentioned your car.

i got a 96 gs spyder . the 4G64 in that carries more torque than the non turbo 4G63 cuz of the weight , if its a stick and u can drive u should kill it.. though shift around 5500 rpm dont try redlining.. if he takes u on take off though u should easily get him in the long run .. but im pretty sure ull take him

these who would win thing are fun to talk about and stuff but if your gonna race him anyway and theres no slips or money involved RACE HIM!! tell us what happened and that would be more fun. i mean when i had a 2000 v-6 mustang i raced a 95 corvette and looked like an **** when i was 10 car lengths behind him but why not thats the question i ask i mean seriously what if he stalls off the line think about that. my preference, if youve got nothing on the line who cares if you lose you had fun.
