why have there been so many racing 'who would win' threads lately? its called paper racing and its pointless. there are more factors that go into who would win than just the year and make of the car(even if they are stock).

I have to agree. Not to mention it's not just the car that is racing, it's people and there is always the chance that one of them could make a mistake during the race.

i had a rs b4 with no power locks and windows.... powerlocks/windows add 100 lbs to the car... so maybe the rs will win... it all depends on the driver at that point though because both cars a even on the HP... i dont know how autos are though.. im strickly stick! plus i forgot how fast my rs was since i got a gs-t now... but im tellin you for the rs.. bolt on the coldair intake, headers, downpipe and a good exhaust and that gs wont stand a chance  hell i remember keeping up with an evo with those mods and dusting the new HONDAS :innocent: hehhe

and about the reply about the rs beating a 03 the 03 was prolly an rs since the 03 rs has only 4 cilynders while the gs and gts both have a v6 engine... i can see a 2g eclipse take a 4g rs, but i dont know about leaving them 3 cars down when it comes to the v6s.... again its all about the difference of the drivers and other situations... shoot i for sure know that with my gs-t i could dust a 60 year old grand ma with vision and arthritus problems driving her 350z.... ahahhaa

you need to learn more about cars before you start to speak. the 3G(2000-2005) came in 4 models....the RS/GS/GT/GTS(the GTS started in 2003). the RS AND GS both come with the 4G64 2.4l 16v SOHC 4cyl. Both the GT and GTS come with the 6G72 3.0l 24v SOHC V6.
