I have a Mitsubishi Sport 2000, it has about 72000 miles in it. I had to take it to a body shop to have the roof replaced and to take care of some rust spots we found while there. This job was cover by warranty; they say is common on this type of vehicle and it took four month to get it back. After I notice it was not changing gears the normal way, what I mean is that the engine had to be at about 3500 to 4000 rpms to change gear from 1st to 2nd and so on while accelerating slowly. I took it to a Mitsubishi dealer and they did not find any codes reflecting a problem, but suggested to have the transmission overhaul for $2000.00. I had it overhaul by my father in law which works for a Nissan Dealer repairing transmissions. After doing all this work the gear shifting still the same, we did not find anything wrong with the transmission only some normal wear but like I said we overhaul it anyway. I think this may be some electrical fault or some sensor; is anyone encounter this problem before or have any suggestion I can try to correct this problem.

Thank you,

Ivan
