1) To get the anti-theft code, pull the radio out of the dash, get the serial number off the top, and call a dealership. Any regular dealership should have no problem pulling it up for you, and if they insist that they must charge you, just call a different one, I know for a fact that where I work, we'll look it up for you...
2) You run the wires from the DMP to the "AUX" or "Changer" slot in your head unit, your head unit controls your speakers, the DMP just sends audio information to the head unit.
3) I have it mounted behind my rear seat (drive 1999 3000GT), since Rockford suggests mounting it vertically for "best results" whatever that means... it isn't a problem, any time you have to take it out to update, just pop the hatch and take it out, or better yet, utilize the Wi-Fi inherent to the unit.
4) Be careful of keys cut at places that aren't dealerships. That's great if they work, but from what I have seen, they work all of 20% of the time, whereas the key from the dealership works EVERY time... (if you think your key is expensive, check out the 2006 Eclipse key that has the keyless transmitter attached, it's likely to be a $300 key...)
5) Best Buy, Circuit City, Local Stereo Shop *THAT YOU TRUST* Whomever does it, make sure you watch them do it, and make sure that they do a competent job...
Hope that helps, I realize I may have been a few days late...
