Drives: 1990 (H) SPACE WAGON GLX 1.8i

:( Can anybody help I have a 1990 space wagon glx 1.8i and recently I will be driving down the road and it will try to stall it is like there is no fuel going through so I will stop and start it up again and it is fine and will start driving again and it will start again I have been told it might be the fuel pump or the fuel filter but I am not to sure so any help please cheers
