Do you have a sunroof? Sometimes sunroof drains get clogged and also the hatch drains. You can try pouring water into them and see if it drains under the car.

Thanks I will try that . If the drains are clogged, what do I do to fix it and how is it that the water ends up in the rear floor behind the driver and no where else .

To clean the drains you need a air compressor and a blowgun to blow high pressured air in. If the drains are clogged water will find the easiest path to the floor .
