Sup guy's

I have a silver spyder with the top (covertable) black. The top looks really good however, should I need to clean it b'cuz I've never owned a convertable before, what is the correct way to do this that would yield the best possible results?

Thanks

Wash with mild soap and no brushes just a sponge or wash mitt.

I wash my convertible top with mild soap and i wash it by hand. I put the soap on my hand and rub it into the fabric. I used to use the special shampoo for the top of the car. You can find it at pepboys.

I've on my 2nd top, looked brand new when I purchased it this past April ('05) and I noticed that hand-washing it at the car wash seems to leave a slight white deposit when I use the special "spot free" rinse. After a good rain it is gone. I've never used soap (worry about the residue, and it hasn't needed it.)
