I have a Pajero 93 GLS 3000 that has developed loud ticking noise ...someone suggested Timing Belt , it has done about 90,000kms ....is this a big job to change? thanks

The timing belt is a big job and should be done by an advanced mechanic. However you should use a long screwdriver and put the handle to your ear and the tip on whatever area you suspect the noise to be coming from to isolate the problem. Normally lash adjusters cause a ticking sound they are located under the valve cover so you should be able to find the problem with a simple screwdriver.
